Don’t Laugh At Me

LIFE is a WEAPON when you LIVE it

About

I have looked at this box for months thinking about to put here and I've finally figured it out. You're looking at it.

Interviews

April 14th, 2008

I have a couple of interviews for this week. I applied to Bank of America, Chase, WaMu, and Wells Fargo. I also applied to Texas Coastal Bank. This morning both Texas Coastal and Wells Fargo called me. I’m meeting with Wells Fargo tomorrow at 10am and then with Texas Coastal on Wednesday morning at 10am. So I have two interviews in two days.

Wells Fargo is for a full-time lead teller position and Texas Coastal is for a part-time teller. We shall see how they go and see where I am at the end of the week. The Credit Union is good but I’m ready for a place where I will really have a chance to move up.

Driving in Houston

April 10th, 2008

Today, I drove over to visit a friend who lives off the Gulf Freeway. I took the Pasadena Freeway to the Loop then got onto the Gulf Freeway. Of course, I am coming over the ramp to get onto Gulf Freeway and it goes to like stopped. This is because the people coming over in the two lane ramp cannot see the sign that shows that the right lane is going to merge into the left. I’m actually sure they see it but just choose to ignore it. If everyone would start merging when they see the sign warning them the lane ends, the traffic probably wouldn’t come to a stop at the final merge.

Why can’t people just pay attention to the signage and do as it shows? This would make driving here so much better. And then when I was trying to go home, there were two lanes going to the Beltway which were clogged by people speeding past the traffic going south on the Gulf Freeway. Just stay in your lane and go with the flow folks, it works!

I guess it’s all the excitement of driving here.

McCain Running Mate

April 2nd, 2008

So, I’ve been reading that McCain is starting to look for running mates now. I’ve also read that he may be considering Huckabee. I really hope he picks someone closer to his views than the traditional Republicans. McCain is so old, I’m afraid he might die and leave another George W. in the office. I wonder who is a good choice for it.

Ideas? Hillary? =P

Today’s Youth

March 21st, 2008

Earlier, my friend and I were having a discussion about how scared we are of today’s youth. Kids will never know what good music is. They will never know what respect is. Nor discipline. I can’t even begin to imagine where the world is going with all of this. Parents aren’t doing their job like they used to. Something needs to happen and it needs to happen fast because this world is going to spin out of control real soon if it doesn’t.

Save us from ignorance, please.

In Response

March 11th, 2008

I decided to send an email to this Sally Kern person. I didn’t think it was necessary to curse or anything like that. I want her to know that homosexuals are normal people too. I sent the following:

Mrs. Kern:

I am a 20 year old homosexual from the State of Texas. I was listening to the radio today while I was working when I heard some commentary about something you had said. I came home to do some research regarding what I had heard and discovered a video with your full speech on it. I was sure that a Christian would not say such hateful things about a person, but I had been deceived by the words coming from your mouth. As a person of authority in your State, shouldn’t you be careful what you say about people? I would hope that your constituents will be very upset about this particular speech.

America is a place for everyone to live together in harmony. Hate speech does not accomplish anything. You must have known what you were saying was wrong to say because you said “that the very fact I am here talking to you like this puts me in jeopardy.” There is no homosexual agenda. All we want is equal protection under the law as everyone else is afforded.

And homosexuals are a bigger problem than terrorists and Islam. How is being gay a bigger problem than terrorism? I don’t believe homosexuals kill the innocent people or bomb our buildings. How is Islam even a problem? It’s a religion that is not yours and that does not give you the right to just compare it to terrorism. Not all Islamic people are terrorists, incase you did not know. I know many Islamic people and they are productive, law abiding citizens of this country.

I think it’s mildly funny that you thought just a few were listening, but now the whole world has heard your hate. I thought I could expect better from the leaders in this country, but maybe I was wrong. Don’t let America let me down.

Wow, I have no idea that the homosexuals were a bigger worry for America than terrorists. I guess homosexuals are the ones that blow up buildings and kill innocent people. I’m glad someone was listening when she thought we weren’t. By the way, this woman is a representative from the State of Oklahoma. She looks like the typical gay hating kind of person.

Erasure is Back

February 27th, 2008

That’s right, one of my favorites from the 80s is making a comeback with their new single “I Could Fall In Love With You.” Give it a moment to be listened to, as it deserves.

Obama v. Clinton

February 23rd, 2008

This is a very difficult decision. They both seem to be good candidates to me. I just hope John McCain doesn’t win. I’m more pro-Obama than I am for Clinton since Obama is the only one that has taken the time to reach out to the GLBT community. Maybe things can turn around for the Marriage situation with him.

Only one can hope.

Gin, Please

Oh no, I was ordering.

Not Feeling Well

December 26th, 2007

*UGH* I feel yet another cold coming on. I guess it has to be the weather with all this hot then cold then hot again business. I just wish it would either stay cold or stay hot. I’m just ready for the summer when I can be sure of what to expect. I’ve already picked a New Years Resolution: To lose at least 60 pounds. That’s a realistic goal; it only comes up to about 5 pounds a month. I think I can handle that if I will just control my diet and start to exercise. A friend from work and I would like to get a membership to a gym so that we can go and workout together, after work. It will be nice to get in shape!

Look sharp, Ryan
